Meet The Owner

Timothy Wise

Born and raised here in Launceston, I started my travels and adventures in my early 20’s when I moved to Hobart and then to Melbourne.

I started my career in floristry last millennium in Melbourne. After working in fashion, hospitality, homewares and horticulture I progressed (?), transferred my skills towards floristry. A florist on Toorak Road (Style by Nature), took me in while I started my studies. Then with the chance to move to Sydney, it was a year of study, working and exploring.

On returning to Melbourne, I joined the team at Jane Price Florist and spent ten amazing years working for the most inspiring, terrifying, and passionate mentor. When Jane retired, I had the chance to move to London.

Working in various florists in London to gain as much experience as possible, (not knowing how long this could last), I was a sponge. From an internet florist (Flowers24), under the railway arches in Brixton to a boutique florist (Amber Rose) in North London, to a massive factory (Arena Flowers UK) in West London.

I was able to do flowers for celebrities, Clarence House, and a wedding reception at the Savoy Hotel for an IOC member. There was even a floral display using Dutch bikes in the Royal Festival Hall for Bike Week held by Cycling UK.

On returning to Australia, I spent several years in Mildura (Langtree Flower House), and Bendigo (Frankie O’s Flower Emporium) (Libertine), before returning to Launceston some 30ish years later. And I’m only 36! Imagine.

Opening a new shop means I can bring a style and service that has never been seen here. A European look, flavour, and style.

Having had the pleasure of working with and learning from so many amazingly talented florists from all over, I have learnt tips, tricks, culture, and aesthetics from, wait for it: Australia, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Japan, Israel, Mauritius, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Hungary, and Croatia.

Brimming with what feels like several lifetimes of experience, let me share it with you. I look forward to meeting you.
